Hello, fellow human!
You know those lists of “Stories We Don’t Want” you see sometimes, on the web pages of the places you submit your stories?
Yeah… I’ve written a few of those… maybe most of those…
Sometimes, you just have to jump in the water.
I write novels and novellas, literary flash, short fiction, creative non-fiction, dark speculative fiction, science fiction, satire. songs, set lists, grocery lists…
Those lists? Yeah, they are lying around in notebooks all over my house.
I love reading the stories I wish I’d written.
Some of my favorite authors include: Angela Liu, Alma Katsu, Jennifer Egan, Ken Liu, Stewart O’Nan, Denis Johnson, Cassandra Khaw, Steven Amsterdam, Cormack McCarthy, Sequoia Nagamatsu, Martin MacInnes, Emily St. John Mandel, Robert Repino, David Mitchell, and loads of others.
